After receiving many questions by prospective M.Sc./Ph.D. students regarding admissions, scholarships, and so on, we created this overview of the most frequently asked questions. We hope it will help you to some extent in making a decision.

  1. Are there any scholarships from the CE group for which I might be eligible for the first or second year of my study?
To the best of our knowledge there are no scholarships provided by the CE group for M.Sc. students. Ph.D. students should discuss this with their prospective supervisor. For more information on scholarships please visit this page for M.Sc. students or this page for Ph.D. students.
  2. Are there opportunities for students to apply for on-campus or off-campus jobs to fund their expenses?
Yes there are some opportunities, however, the legal number of working hours for non-european students is only 10 hours per week or two months during summer holidays. You might start looking here. Keep in mind, that many of these part-time jobs might require you to be proficient in dutch to some level.
  3. To what extent am I required to speak Dutch in the M.Sc./Ph.D. program, potential jobs, or in general?
Neither the M.Sc., nor the Ph.D. programmes require you to speak Dutch. Although some university correspondence might be sent to you in Dutch. Part-time jobs often do require some level of Dutch, but for an engineering job English should normally be sufficient.
