The Sigma team research focusses on various topics that have a speculative research character in the sense that they may not have direct short term implications in the way general purpose and embedded processors are designed and implemented. The topics we address includes, but by no means are restricted to, nano and bio computation, Threshold logic, chaotic computational systems, communicating processes, computational geometry, etc., and we are mainly concerned with establishing the potential impact emerging and alternative technologies may have on the structure and performance of future computational systems.
